    Hi Mahesh,

Although I do not have an issue with disk space, I will give your suggestions an honest try.  I currently have 337 GB free.

I have been having so many problems that I started over from scratch - I backed up my data, and completely reinstalled Windows OS 7, Open Office 3.4, JRE, Skype, Firefox, Windows Essentials Live, PDF Reader, Flash Player, and Spotify.  I think that about covers it.

I was trying to install Database 11g Express Edition, because I do a lot of work with databases.

This error does not occur when trying to install other software.

Yes, I am logged on as Administrator.

Thank you for your help...although, I do believe I will need more help after I complete the suggestions you have offered.

    Sincerely,

    Tony
