How to remove Ask toolbar from my PC

Hello

My computer has "Ask Toolbar" It is refusing to be deleted through "Uninstall" process.

Please help me to remove it as it is a nuisance.

    Hi Shridhara - we just posted a fix (and a removal utility) that will allow you to remove our toolbar from Google Chrome. Sorry for the trouble! You can read all about here, in our Help Center:

    Windows 8:

    1. Right-click on the screen at the left bottom corner.
    2. Go to Control Panel and then to Uninstall a Program.
    3. Then detect items you wish to remove and hit Uninstall.

    Widows Vista and Windows 7:

    1. Go to the Start menu and select Control Panel.
    2. Click on Uninstall a program listed under Programs.
    3. Now right-click on the item you wish to remove and select Uninstall.

    Windows XP:

    1. Open the Start menu and click on Control Panel.
    2. Double-click on Add or Remove Programs.
    3. Click on Ask Toolbar and Ask Toolbar Updater and select Remove.

    Internet Explorer:

    1. Click on Tools and go to Manage Add-ons.
    2. Go to Toolbars and Extensions.
    3. Click on the add-on you want removed and select Disable.

    Google Chrome:

    1. Launch the browser and tap Alt+F to open the menu.
    2. Go to Tools and select Extensions.
    3. Navigate to the item you want to disable, click on the trash icon on the left and then select Remove.

    Mozilla Firefox:

    1. Launch the browser and simultaneously tap Shift+Ctrl+A.
    2. From the Add-ons Manager move to Extensions.
    3. Click on the items you want deleted and select the Remove button.

    My OS is Google Chrome.

    I have followed your advice but Ask Toolbar is not permitting to "deselect" the "enable"

    As though it is fixed and permanent.

    Please advice.
