The printer seems to have been installed automatically but not the scanning facility. I tried installing it with the CD but a message came up saying it's not compatible with Windows 8. Why should the printer be OK but not the scanning facility? How can I get this installed I'm desperate to use the scanner.

2013-02-22T16:32:28+00:00 You have to install the software and drivers for win 8 downloaded from the HP website. You cannot use the CD. Some all in one printers will print on win 8 but not scan. Check your model at the compatibility website.
