Hi Kamalaleah,
Logitech does not support this mouse model anymore and it also appears not compatible with Windows 7.
You will need to either revert to the Windows XP operating system or search any other replacement product.

The Trackman Marble FX is the first mouse in years I can use as I do not have a wrist and can not rotate my shoulders. It worked in XP but not in Windows 7. I have the latest drivers from Logitech and even called them and talked to their tech support. Other than going back to XP, any other suggestions? I did get the cordless optical trackman but it doesn't work for a person with small hands and a disabilities. I just need to be able to program the buttons on the Trackman. I know in researching this, I am not alone in this problem of one of the best mice made will not work on Windows 7.

Same issue!
German Support Logitech:
"Logitech products have been designed and developed that they will work with each of the standard drivers of the operating system. Standard drivers are not provided by Logitech. If your Cordless TrackMan FX is not working with the default drivers of Windows 7, this is unfortunately not compatible with Windows 7. In the development of new operating systems, Microsoft provides certain minimum requirements for each operating system. These strict minimum requirements are defined in the Windows Hardware Qualification Lab (WHQL)."
Really satisfying answer.....
PS: The Ping Pong Ball seems to be with MS again! ;-))
It has become apparent to me that LogiTech is only interested in serving (read "filling") their pockets and their clientele be damned. I too loved the Marble FX and even tried their Marble M570. Notwithstanding the number of phone calls to their California office, I could not get anybody to listen to reason. My biggest problem in using the M570 was that it was impossible to slow down. I've tried via computer as well as with private techies, but all not no avail. I'm now searching the websites to see if there is a way of getting the Marble FX to work on Win 7. To the point that if I don't find any relief, I'll be forced to go back to XP and have it reconfigured, etc., so that I can use both XP, my old tower and the Marble.
Though on a different subject, but LogiTech all the same, I have tried a number of their keyboards, but have similar problems with the keyboard and Logitech's attitude.
I would be most appreciative if anybody finds any assistance in both of these matters to let me know, off line would also be good for me (my address is: ******@erols.com Thanks in advance. Dave
I too have the same problem. Logitech sent me this reply today. They claim Microsoft is unwilling to support this device. Is that true?

Dennis, from your e-mail, I understand that you are looking for the software of your Cordless TrackMan FX which will work on Windows 7 PC.
I checked the version of your Cordless TrackMan FX, and it is not included in the list of Logitech Products that can work on a Windows 7 OS. There will be no driver updates for Windows 7 for your specific device. It was Microsoft's decision to no longer support this device under Windows 7. We really apologize for this inconvenience.
Thank you for choosing Logitech.
Kind Regards,
DK Magno

Unfortunately Logitech no longer supports this trackball, even though it is probably the most popular trackball they ever made. You will need to find an older version of Logitech Mouseware; I believe 9.2 was the last version to support the Marble FX. I occasionally see the CDs on eBay. I have searched pretty extensively on the web but never found a download of any version older than Mouseware 9.42 which does not recognize this trackball.
