Lenovo G570 laptop touchpad scroll won't work after installing Windows 8 Pro
I just installed Windows 8 Pro on my Lenovo G570 laptop and the scroll feature on my touchpad no longer functions. I had an evaluation copy of Windows 8 installed prior to Windows 8 Pro and the scroll worked fine. The rest of the touchpad features work. I have tried Lenovo support and even downloaded their latest driver but nothing has worked. Can anyone out there help? Thank you.

2012-11-25T03:22:23+00:00 It really is annoying. I've tried everything also, but I haven't had any success. I'm thinking about just giving up on it until they (hopefully) work it out! I'm probably going to end up using a wireless mouse until they update this issue. The pad itself isn't all that great anyways.

2012-11-25T02:06:54+00:00 No I have not and it is still very annoying. I attempted to do what was suggested by Vinod N and I ended up with a frozen computer. I was forced to fix it using Windows 8 recovery and I then had to reinstall all the programs the recovery uninstalled. I am hoping Lenovo or Microsoft will come up with a solution. I will keep checking Lenovo's website.

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Communities. From your problem description I understand that you are unable to access touchpad on the computer. Please correct me if I have misunderstood.
I understand how frustrating it could be when things do not work as expected. Please do not worry I will try my best to resolve it.
I would also suggest you to uninstall and reinstall touchpad driver on your computer in Windows 8 by choosing the compatibility level as Windows 7:
a. Run the Program Compatibility Wizard, by pressing Windows key + W and then type Control Panel,
**b.**Click Programs, and then clicking Use an older program with this version of Windows.
**c.**Follow the instructions in the wizard.
In Windows 8, drivers may available on the website however, may try to download Windows 7 drivers from the website and then install them.
