Okay, I got a Windows 8 computer for my birthday and I wanted to download a Shimeji on my laptop, seeing how I've had them before and they're entertaining. The only problem is that they can't/won't open/ work! I've tried all I can remember from finding apps from the store to help open the files to trying to rename files, but nothing works! I was hoping someone could help me with this. Thanks!

Um, if you didn't know, shimeji are like desktop buddies. They go "walking" around the screen's edges (when working). I tried them on Windows 8 as well and had the same problem as Lechhii.

They are downloadable from the Internet, and you open them from their set of files in the .jar file.

It's not a program. And the problem is that Windows 8 won't open the .jar file like Windows 7.

I'm searching on the Internet for people who have found solutions to this, there aren't any so far.
