No .Everythings the same ,but i plugged it into another USB port on the same laptop . I never really used that port, but I plugged my phone in there because my normal port was being used .It charged my phone and everything ( it was working perfectly). But when I plugged it back into the normal port it says that it is an unknown device.

I would double-check the settings on the phone.  I have many customers who, unknowingly supposedly, changes the way it acts when plugged into a computer through the settings/options.  ;-)

Also - simple test - use a different USB cable. Seen that happen.

    Hi

I can't connect my Android phone on my laptop anymore. I have tried different USB-cables and ports but it still won't recognise the device. It alsways shows the follwoing error: Code 43.

It stopped working when I used a different usb-port than the one i usually use for it. The value that I was given was USB\UNKNOWN

Could you help me solve this problem?

    Hi,

Since the device gets detected as Unknown, let’s check for the status of the same.

    1. Right-click the Unknown Device in Device Manager and selectProperties.
    2. Under General tab, check for the status of the Unknown Device under Device status.

Does it show any error message/code associated with the Unknown Device? If yes, let us know the exact error message.

Let’s also check for the Hardware Ids and see if that throws some light on theUnknown Device.

Right-click the Unknown Device in Device Manager and select**Properties.**Click the Details tab.

Under Property, select Hardware Ids from thedrop-down menu.

What are the values that appear in the Value box?

Let us know the details and we shall proceed with the troubleshooting accordingly.
