My operating system is Windows 7. All of the icons on my desktop moved to the left side of the desktop and I cannot move them back to their original positiions. When I try, the icons immediately bounce back to their positions on the left side of the desktop. I need help please to correct this.

Also, the vertical volume indicator on the bottom right side of the desktop has disappeared and I do not know how to restore it. Someone please help me restore this.

Thank-you,

Peter

Right click on the Desktop | View. Uncheck: Auto Arrange Icons. Do check: Align To Grid.

This little tool will remember your icon positions should they get scrambled for another reason,

    ICU Icon Configuration Utilityhttp://funk.eu/icu-icon-configuration-utility/

For the volume control: Show Hidden Icons | Customize and set the speaker icon to Show icon and notifications.
