I wasn't able to apply a driver, but if you double click on the Beats Solo3 icon in the devices and printers (from the control panel) folder and select "Listen to Music" it'll work... Only problem is none of the remote functionality works, e.g. pausing from the headset, increasing/lowering the volume, etc. - inconvenient, but at least you can play music...

    PROBLEM SOLVED FINALLY!

Just download the updated driver from Dell:

    Intel 18260/17265/8260/7265/7260/3165 Bluetooth Driver:

Ok I'll say I tried everything here except the most simple solution and nothing worked till I did the simple thing.

Search for my laptop manufacturer's own bluetooth driver and download and install it. DUH!!!!

It appears that the generic driver from windows is what is the issue.

When it looks for updates it is not finding any.

It is not a Beats issue for me and it wasn't a windows issue.

It appears to be different that manufacturers use different stacks or applications so it is best to get their latest bluetooth drivers direct from the laptop manufacturer.

The minute I went to HP support site and searched for my laptop model and downloaded the bluetooth driver, everything worked.

    Hi,

I would suggest you to follow these methods and reply with the results.

Method 1: Run the hardware and device troubleshooter.

Method 2: Check the Bluetooth Support services and the drivers.

    a)    Click Start, type services.msc in the start search box and press enter. Services window will open then in the list check for Bluetooth Support Service and double click on that. Ensure that the service is both set to automatic for startup type and started for status.

    b)    Click Start, type device manager in start search box and press enter. Device manager window will open check for Bluetooth device expand it and double click on driver. Go to driver tab and click on update driver to update the drivers. If issue is same try to uninstall and reinstall the drivers in the same tab by uninstall option.
