file hippo update checker not compatable with Windows 7

I have previously installed File Hippo's update checker without encountering a problem.  Now, it installs but nothing I do makes it work.  Can anybody tell me why and advise me how to get it to work?

    Hi John,

    This could happen when you try to install the old version of file hippo application.

    1. Which version of file hippo update checker are you using?
    2. Do you receive any error messages related to file hippo?

    Uninstall the current version of file hippo update checker.

    Visit the  following website, download and install the latest file hippo update checker.

    http://www.filehippo.com/updatechecker/
