Headset mic too loud and speakers too soft

About 3 weeks ago I bought a Logitech H540 headset.  It worked great until yesterday.  My co-workers complained that the mic level was too high; they were getting  blasted, so I changed the properties level to 5.  Simultaneously, I had to change the speaker level to 100 to hear anything at all.  What happened, and how do I change it back?

    Hi Steve,

I would suggest you to follow the steps provided and update us on the status of the issue.

**Method 1: Step 1:**No audio from USB headset: http://logitech-en-ap.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/32390/section/troubleshoot/crid/407/lt_product_id/10000/tabs/1,3,2,4,5/cl/in,en

**Step 2:**If you don't hear any sounds coming from an audio device you've plugged in to one of the jacks on your computer, follow the instructions below.
