I just installed an extra 4GB of RAM in my laptop. But previously, 3.78GB of 4GB was usable. But now, only 3.31GB of 8GB is usable. How can I use all of my memory?

    Hi Aravind,

    Method 1:

I would suggest you to follow these steps to increase the memory and check if it helps:

    a.     Press Windows key + R on the keyboard.

    b.    Type “msconfig” without quotes and press Enter.

    c.     Under Boot tab, click on Advanced options.

    d.    Uncheck the option Maximum memory and click on OK.

    e.    Click OK again and restart the computer.

    f.      Check if it helps resolve the issue.

    Method 2:

I would suggest you to refer to the link and run the Memory Diagnostics Tool:
