Method 01:
I would suggest going to device manager and right clicking the device and updating driver for the device and checking if you can get the drivers.
Open Device Manager http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Open-Device-Manager
If you have the driver CD you can try installing the drivers and see if it works fine or not, can also try in compatibility mode.

I would suggest you to check Windows Update to see if a driver is downloaded and installed automatically.
