Why can't I remove DivX Setup? Everytime I press the Change/Remove button, nothing happens; just a brief timer and tne pointer shows

**Hi Scout2005,**Follow the steps below to uninstall DivX:

a. Go to the below location:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\program data\DivX\Setup

b. Run DivXSetup.exe, a DivX uninstall window should open, select all and press ok.

Here's what worked for me:  I ran the divxsetup program with the /uninstall option.  The program should already be on your machine, under Application Data\DivX\Setup.  I'm running an older Windows XP tablet, so the location may be different for you.

From a command prompt (Start Menu->Run, enter "cmd" without quotes, hit OK), enter these two commands (without the '>' character of course):

    >    cd C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\DivX\Setup

    >    divxsetup /uninstall

    Hope it works for you,

    Michaelson Britt

Nope, still doesn't work. Cant uninstall DivX HiQ, and all the rest. they created it like a spam - there is no uninstall button anywhere, not even under the start-programs menu.

This DivX thing is plainly an unwelcome guest that will not leave willingly. In Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs didn't work for me.Revo uninstaller did.  Download Revo from MajorGeeks.com here.

To uninstall any of the DivX Plus software go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and select DivX Setup

Select the products you would like to uninstall in the components screen and click Next.

This will uninstall all the products that were selected
