Hi,
By default the printer drops any files that are printed on the printer after the job is finished. However, there is an option in the printer drivers that keeps a record of all documents printed
You may refer the steps provided.
Method 1:
a. View any files that have been printed to the printer by clicking on the printer within the "Devices and Printer" menu that was opened in the previous steps.
b. Right-click on the printer that has the "Keep Printed Documents" check box enabled. Click the "See What's Printing" option at the top of the pop-up menu. A new menu will appear with all the documents that have been printed to the printer.
Method 2: You may check the files in the spool folder.
a. Search for the "Spool" folder on the computer by clicking the "Start" button. Go to "Search," type in "Spool" and click "Enter" on you keyboard. You can find the spool folder in the C:\Windows\System32 directory.
b. Open the "Printers" folder and search for the file you printed. The file will have a different extension, such as .tmp or .001.
c. Right-click on the file and choose "Copy." Go to the location you need it stored, right-click and choose "Paste" to save it to the correct folder. Rename the file by right-clicking the file and choose "Rename" to change the file extension to the original file type, such as .doc.
d. Right-click the file and choose "Print" to resend to the printer.
