Original Title: Missing Wireless Zero Configuration

I'm using Windows XP service pack 3. I used to use an ethernet cable to connect to the internet. I've just bought a wireless adapter and can't get it to work. The error says:- Question WZC failed! I don't seem to have the Wireless Zero Configuration file on my PC. Any ideas how to get it please? Thanks

    Hi,

Try the following methods and check if it helps.

    a. Click Start, type services.msc, press enter and then click Services.

    b. Double-click on the Wireless Zero Configuration service.

    c. Click on Start to start the service.

    d. Click the General tab. Verify that the service has not been disabled in the Startup Type box. If it has, click Automatic to have it start when you start the computer.

    Method 2:

    a. Click the Start button, and then click Control Panel.

    b. If you're in Category View, then click the Network and Internet Connections icon, then the Network Connections icon. If you're in Classic View, double-click the Network Connections icon.

    d. In the Local Area Connection Properties window, on the General tab, click the Install button.

    e. In the Select Network Component Type window, under "Click the type of network component you want to install," click to select the Service icon, then click the Add button.

    f. In the Select Network Service window, click Have Disk button, then the Browse button.
