Hi,i found solution you just go to device manager and select prperties on network adapter...(wifi,lan...)then go to power managment and deselect "alow the computer to turn off this device to save power"
Linksys WUSB300N wireless network adapter does not reconnect after Windows 8 sleep.
I've just done a clean install of Windows 8 Pro on a new Dell Inspiron 570 which shipped with Windows 7 Premium, but I never used the Windows 7 install, so I don't know if this problem would've happened with Win7.
My concern, and this one has me seriously considering doing a clean reinstall of Windows XP Pro (I need Pro for Remote Desktop), is that when the computer awakens from sleep, my Linksys WUSB300N wireless adapter does not reconnect to the network. It is in some sort of quasi-powered standby which leaves a dim light on, much like when it is plugged in without a driver installed. I have tried all of the troubleshooting items in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/953367 with no success. As suggested by another user on the forums, I uninstalled the adapter from the Device Manager, rebooted, and allowed the computer to install it and connect normally, which worked fine, but then it still did not reconnect after sleep.
Every time this happens, I have to remove and reinsert the USB adapter from its cradle, upon which the computer connects to the network perfectly and automatically. That's not a reasonable solution, especially given my remote desktop needs.
The only workaround I've got right now is just to not allow the system to go to sleep, which isn't really a solution either.
Can anyone suggest anything else?
Thanks,
-S

2013-02-18T22:39:43+00:00 Note, I just tried the advice here: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/w7itprohardware/thread/ad2f56ae-61e1-4f2b-8d79-32bee54571a0 which had me download what was supposedly an updated driver in the Microsoft Update Catalog. That did not work either.
