You probably do not need to download anything. On my machine a copy of services.exe resides in this folder:
c:\Windows\winsxs\amd64_microsoft-windows-s..s-servicecontroller_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16385_none_2b54b20ee6fa07b1
On your machine it might reside in a similar folder.
To replace the files requires skills at a maintenance level. Ask a computers-savvy friend to assist you if the following instructions make no sense to you:
- Reboot the machine into Repair Mode, using F8 at boot time.
- Open a Command Prompt.
- Locate the System drive letter. It could be C:, D: or E: but it can't be X:. I shall call it Q:,
- Using the command "dir /s Q:\windows\services.exe", find out where your copies of services.exe reside.
- Rename Q:\Windows\System32\services.exe to services.org so that you can back out in case things go wrong.
- Copy the other instance of services.exe to Q:\Windows\System32.
Note also that the virus might have caused some damage elsewhere too.
