I have been trying to figure out a way to remove failed updates from Windows Update. I have so many failed updates, and I just want to be able to remove them. It is very frustrating. Is there a way that I can safely do this? Please help.

Follow the below steps to clear Windows Update history:

    1. Click on the "Start" menu on the main screen of Microsoft Windows. Select "All Programs" to access all programs and options available on the system.
    2. Select "Run" from the Windows menu. A box pops up that gives you the option of opening and running a specific folder.
    3. Type the following "%windir%\SoftwareDistribution" into the "Run" menu. You are then brought to the Software Distribution section found on your computer.
    4. Open the "DataStore" folder. This folder contains all files related to Windows Updates run in the past. To clear the history, you'll need to delete all the contents of this folder.
    5. Restart your computer and you'll have a clear Windows Update history.

    Hope this helps.
