Install CCleaner, then open it and go to Tools ---- > startup

    delete the conduit entries.

I hope this help, I had the same problem :)

The UnLockIt worked fine, however the CCleaner did not allow the option for deleting the "Conduit" plugin from Firefox, which is what this file belongs to. Deleting the file after unlocking with UnLockIt did the trick all around. Windows 7

Thank you 100%. It was driving me insane. I must have down loaded and deleted Chrome at least a half a dozen times.

    Hello,

You don't say why you can't delete the file, but if its being locked by another file or process, a freeware app called UnLock It may help. Download it from here:  http://download.cnet.com/EMCO-UnLock-IT/3000-2248_4-10427650.html  (use the Direct Download Link only).

Once installed you navigate within UnLock It to the file in question, select it, and then click the Unlock Resource button in the applications toolbar. It'll unlock the file so you can delete it. You then might want to do a search of your hard drive to see if it has other instances of itself in other locations (a favorite trick of malware).

Let me know if this fixes the issue for you.

    Regards,

    BearPup
