Hi David,

Thank you for replying with the status.

Have you performed the steps provided above?

This error could also occur if you fo not have .NET Framework installed. Make sure that the updates related to .NET Framework is installed on the computer.

If the issue still persists, I would suggest you to completely uninstall the graphics adapter and try reinstalling from the manufacturer website. It looks like there could be some software conflicts. Let's analyze and identify the cause of the issue.

Hope this information helps.

    Hi David,

    1. How exactly are you trying to install the graphics driver? Is it through online resource, Windows updates or using driver CD?
    2. What is the make and model of the computer?

I would suggest you to visit the computer manufacturer website and check the drivers provided for the graphics adapter for best display quality.

It looks like The AMD Catalyst Control Center / AMD Vision Engine Control Center requires that the Microsoft® .NET Framework should be installed on the computer. You may refer the steps mentioned to check if .NET Framework is enabled and installed on the computer.

There is a Microsoft Knowledge Base article that provides methods to troubleshoot this issue. I would suggest that you visit the link.

actually i just tried installing again (Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. - Graphics Adapter WDDM1.2 - AMD Radeon HD 7640G) and instead, i received a Windows Update error 80070103 which i looked up. It means that,i might be trying to install a driver that's already installed or a driver that might be less compatible than one i already have installed on my PC. so i guess it is all ready resolved, but thanks alot for the help and thank you,,
