Installing Windows Server 2012 on Virtualbox

I have used VirtualBox 4.2.12 to install Windows Server 2008 32-bit edition, and it installed fine.

However, when I try to install Windows Server 2012 64-bit edition on my laptop, it comes up with an error, however on my desktop it is fine!

I have allocated 2GB RAM and 64GB disk space.

My laptop has 4GB RAM and 320GB disk space.

This is the message I get after the progress bar:

Error Code: 0x0000001e

The computer needs to restart

Parameters:

0xFFFFFFFF00000005

0xFFFFF802C2970E0F

0x000000000000000

0xFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

I have tried:

Updating the BIOS

Updating the graphics drivers

Uninstalling VirtualBox, and reinstalling VBox and the VM with UAC turned off

It is an AMD Athlon x2 dual core L310.

    Hi,

you had trying to install but comes an error code 0x000001e, there is small logic you should understand windows server 2012 will not install as secondary disk means in local disk D: or whatever second partition. so first take up your backup data and format local disk c: and boot server 2012 it will defiantly install

problems:the computers needs to restart means the partition your using windows is not gaining permissions on that disk
