Well, I wish it were that simple for me. I've come down with the FBI virus that causes your screen to go white. This has happened to me once and I was able to do a system restore through booting up in safe mode with command prompt. Now it seems that I can't even use the command prompt to type in the commands.
Unable to type text in Command Prompt while in Safe Mode
Hello,
I need to do a system restore from the Command Prompt within Safe Mode. However, when the Command Prompt window opens up, I'm not able to type any lines of command. The keyboard will not respond at all in this window. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks, Steve

Here are a couple of options:
- Perform a destructive Factory Restore. This is my preferred option because to me an infected machine is a compromised machine.
- Boot the machine with a Windows Repair CD, then use System Restore to set Windows back by a week or so.
You should also review your computing habits. Getting hit twice by a virus suggests that you are taking unnecessary risks.
