Why won't Audacity let me save my audo files as .wav?

I have previously used Audacity to record my audio, and recorded video using FRAPS. I use them both for movie maker. I have tried recording my audio with Audacity, but I can't seem to export it as a .wav file so that I can use it in movie maker.

Side note:

I do my recording for youtube videos, gaming videos. The last time I recorded it was about a month or so ago, and I was able to export the audio file as .wav and place it into movie maker. I made a recording earlier today, and when I went to export it I wasn't able to export as .wav. I'd use the FRAPS audio...but I'm really disappointed with it. It doesn't pick up sound all that well. To be more specific on the sound, I mean by using an xbox 360 mic to record voice audio. Audacity does a better job of picking that sound up.

When you do post to the Audacity forums, be sure to include relevant information about what steps you tried and what errors, if any you encountered.

The steps for exporting from Audacity to .wav format are pretty straight-forward:

    File > Export

    Click OK

Navigate to the desired output folder

    Type a file name

Select WAV from the drop down menu,

    Click SAVE

About the only places I can see it having a problem would be if you pick a location that it can't write to or give it an invalid file name.

Have you been able to export in WAV format before and if so, what steps might be different this time?  Also, are you using the latest 2.0.3 version, or an earlier version?

You would have to ask the developer of Audacity that.  It is not a Microsoft product and we have no special knowledge of it.
