Intel(R) 82801GBM (ICH7-M/U) LPC Interface Controller - 27B9 Error anyone else has gotten and resolved??

Windows 7 under Device Manager, notice phrase Unknown Device, apparently to do w/  missing driver for this device, where only information seems to be it is associated with Intel(R) 82801GBM (ICH7-M/U) LPC Interface Controller - 27B9.

Tried several download sites, but most are garbage, spam centrals, or simply do not load properly and tell me the system is incompatible, etc.

System specs, to see if these might help things along here:

Asus Z62J  - 3 GB RAM  32-bit OS

Windows 7 Ultimate

Service Pack 1 (is any other even available??)

Thanks for your time and input.  Moderators or support engineers would be great, but anyone is more than welcome to chime in.

    Hi WakefieldTolbert,

To provide the appropriate resolution I would need more information from your end.

    1. Do you have BitLocker enabled on the computer?
    2. Did you make any recent changes on the computer prior to this issue?

I would suggest you to try the steps and check if it helps.

    a. Right-click the Unknown Device in Device Manager.

    b. Click on Update driver.

    c. Check if it helps to resolve the issue.

Hope this information helps. If you need any further assistance or information about Windows, I will be glad to help you.

    Thanks for the input.

Bitlocker is off, and in fact TPM does not function on this computer anyhow for some reason,  so the default setting would always be in the "off" position.

I did try and update driver again, but msg said it could not be found.

    Unfortunately.
