Starting the RosettaStoneDaemon service worked for me.
Fatal Application Error #1141
I downloaded Rosetta Stone about three months ago and the program was working great. About two weeks ago i tried to use it again and the program wont load. It says Fatal Application Error #1141. I've contacted Rosetta Stone Technical Support and they tried everything they could, but could not fix the problem. They said its a register errors in my computer system. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

2013-01-01T17:21:40+00:00 Hi MMorataya.
Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.
From your description I understand that the Rosetta stone program has stopped working.
Let’s start with some questions.
- What are the trouble shooting steps you have performed so far?
- Have you tried changing anything from registry?
- What is the exact error message you receive when you try to open this program?
- Have you made any changes to the computer prior to this issue?
1141 Error is caused by misconfigured system files.
You can try these steps to resolve the issue.
- Go to Start and click on Run.
- Type in "services.msc" (without quotes). Or go to Start, Settings, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, and Services.
- Find Rosetta stone Daemon.
- Check the status column to make sure it says "started."
- If not started (status = stopped) in the left hand side of the box, click on the blue "Start the service" link. (Or right click on Rosetta Stone Daemon and select start.)
Do get back to us in case you need further assistance regarding Windows.

2014-07-27T20:36:13+00:00 Hello,
I have windows 8.1 and received the "Fatal Application Error 1141". Turning the Rosetta services on in Services worked for me through control panel>system and security>administrative tools>services. Just right click rosetta stone and start it.
