This might happen if the video adapter drivers are corrupt or outdated.
- Are you using 32-bit or 64-bit operating system?
- Which antivirus application are you using?
Method 1: Change the screen resolution and check if that helps.
a. Press
Windows + x, Click or tap Command Prompt (Administrator).
b. Go to command prompt, type
desk.cpl.
c. Please change the resolution of the screen to
1366*768.
If the above method does not work, go to next method.
Method 2: Windows 8 drivers for your video adapter not available in the Asus website. You may refer to the manufacturer website.

Let's download and install the Windows 7 drivers from the above link and install them in compatibility mode.
Refer to this link to install the drivers in compatibility mode.
Make older programs compatible with this version of Windows

Note: If you are running 32-bit operating system, download and install 32-bit drivers.
If you are running 64-bit operating system, download and install 64-bit drivers.

If installing video adapter driver does not help, let's perform clean boot and open the game and check.
Method 3: Clean boot will help us to identify if any third party applications or start up items are causing the issue.
