Can anyone help where to download DirectX 11.1 for windows 8?

    Thank you for reaching us out on Microsoft Community. Thanks for giving us an opportunity to help you. I will guide you regarding directX 11.1.

    Windows 8 has the latest version of directX.  i.e directX 11. directX 11.1 is not available.

    Follow the steps to check which version of directX is installed in your computer.

    a)      Press Windows + R.

    b)      Type dxdiag and click ok.

    Can I ask, if Direct X will be installed automatically when install windows 8 or have to install it (Direct X) separately after installing windows 8. Thank you ALL

    Its installed automatically.      just type DxDiag into the run line.

    dude installation of DirectX 11 in windows 8

    is not a way to get new features

    its the only way to replace corrupt files

    version check ercks me to extreme no end

    Microsoft needs to pull it numb empty head out

    and put a reinstall option for DirectX in windows 8

    the only reason people want to install direct x 11 in windows 8

    is because its corrupt so by saying it comes with windows 8 you just joined Microsoft...

    so please find another answer...

    When I try to install DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer I go to install it and it tells me in an error "setup could not download the file since the file to be downloaded is not valid" Please help it is making all of my games I bought do not work.
