That's because when I check the drive it has at least 3/4 bar full but when I open my usb only about 2 folders and 4 files show up, in other words, it hid my files. This happened after my usb was plugged into a printing company's computer. I tried other recommemded fixes but it says access denied. and now it seems like my laptop files are shrinking when I checked its drive c and d. help!

And, have you performed a virus scan of your computer to insure that it is not infected?

Try Hitman Pro Trial Version: http://www.surfright.nl/en/hitmanpro This program may be run from a flash drive.

Try TDSS Killer: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remove-tdss-tdl3-alureon-rootkit-using-tdsskiller TDSS Killer may be run from a flash drive.

How do you know it was a virus and not a corrupt drive? The autorun virus typically changes all files to shortcuts. If it is the autorun/pendrive virus -

See if the following helps: http://en.kioskea.net/faq/8734-files-on-flash-drive-changed-to-shortcuts

Click Start > Run > Type in cmd and hit Enter to open the command prompt. Run the following command, replacing the C: with the drive letter of the pendrive: attrib -s -h -r c:\.* /s /d*

Here's a tweak that I use on the reg: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/add-take-ownership-to-explorer-right-click-menu-in-vista/

Add the reg file to your profile, right click the base of the pendrive (d:. e:, whatever), then click "Take Ownership". If successful, you should be able to use my previous unhide command.
