Do you need Azure AD for Desktop Analytics?

We currently are not using Azure AD and don't see using it in our 5 year plan. Can Desktop Analytics be used without it? If not, is there an alternative solution for Windows 10 Upgrade Readiness?

    Yes, you need Azure AD but you don't need to configure any identity synchronization and you don't need to transition any on-prem AD authentication activities to it, but you still need it because Desktop Analytics is an Azure-based service that uses Azure AD authentication.
