I am trying to find fingerprint software for my Dell Latitude E6400

Yes hello.  I just bought this new Dell Latitude E 6400 with Windows 7 64 Bit Enterprise Edition installed on it.  I downloaded most of the drivers successfully.  But can't find a compatible fingerprint reader software.  I have the drivers for it just not the software.  And the option to enroll my fingerprints in the windows user account page is not there.  Any solutions?  Does anybody have a solution to this problem?  Thanks!  NOTE: There is a 32 bit version of the fingerprint software but it will not run on my system.  I tried installing it and it would not install.  Thanks again for the help!

You may need this info on running 32bit application in 64bit environment...that seems to be why the driver is failing.

No I'm afraid not.  It did not work. :( I guess it's just that win 7 is to new for this old fingerprint reader. :( I guess it's okay.  I can always buy a usb fingerprint reader.  Thank you all for the help.  And if for some reason someone on here has the same model laptop and they have the same OS edition as me, and you got it to work please let me know how.  Step by step please.  Anyways, thank you all again I really appreciate the help.

    Hi,

As it is a Dell and also under Warranty as it is new, I suggest that you contact Dell or ask in their Support Forums:

    Cheers.

You have to post your question about this in the Dell Support Forums, not just look through the present Q/A there.

    Cheers.

Hello.  Thank you for your speedy reply.  However it is not new it is a used Dell purchased on eBay.  And I tried looking through their support forums and found nothing useful.  So if you could help in any way that would be really great.  If not I understand.  Thanks for your speedy reply once again.
