I just got my magicolor 2300 from a state sell today. I saw where some=one said to set it up as a network printer and use 2430dl driver. It works!!! on Win 8.1. You have to set the network addr up in the menu with the menu select buttons on top of the printer. Then with the driver I had to say a local printer then create a new tcp port. Set it as the same addr you used on the printer. You need to know what addr your network is you are installing the printer into. Mine is a standard home network 192.168.1.1 some people may have 192.168.0.1. I set the printer to 192.168.1.20 so it would be high enough not to overlap the dynamic addrs. To bad this printer is printing in just Blue. Well thats my 2 cents good luck...
Konica Minolta Magicolor 2300DL Laser Printer
I have a Konica-Minolta Magicolor 2300DL printer on a home network. It works fine from my wife's XP computer, but I had to switch to a Windows 7 operating system. Now I cannot locate a compatible driver. Don't seem to be able to get a straight answer from anyone regarding this. K-M simply says they don't do printer support via email, and they point me to a Vista driver that "might not work." I thought my questions were simple enough:
1) Is there a Magicolor 2300DL driver compatible with Windows 7?
- Where can I get it?
thanks.

2014-03-09T18:29:54+00:00 Although there "supposedly" are no drivers for that printer for Win7, what I've done in the past is install the Vista drivers.
Windows will complain, "driver didn't install correctly" - select "use anyway" (or something to that affect, I forget and the screen is not in front of me) but that worked for me in the past.
Konica Minolta just doesn't want to pay the MS Royalties.
Give it a shot. (Konica Minolta's site indeed has Vista drivers for it.) The ONE thing to consider, is to use the XP drivers for WinXP(_64_Bit_!!) or it may not work, unless you're using Win7 (32bit).
As a matter of fact, I'm going to get my old 2300DL this afternoon returned to me, (I let my daughter use it for awhile) and am going to try the same thing. If I find it works properly as I described above, I'll let ya know.
Let us know?

2011-03-01T14:57:45+00:00 - No, there isn't. Konica-Minolta have decided NOT to support the 2300 for use with Windows 7..
- If K-M don't produce an OS specific driver, the game is over..

2011-03-01T13:51:57+00:00 Hi,
The site given below provides the information that the drivers for the printer is being developed, but should have come out by July 2010, you may visit the link given below and check if that is of help.
http://kmbs.konicaminolta.us/content/support/windows7.html
You may try to install the Windows Vista drivers in compatibility mode and check if that helps.

To run in compatibility mode follow the link given below.
