Getting black screen while loading bluestacks in Windows 8.

Original title: bluestacks loading issues

there is one game I play all the time on my phone and someone told me to check this out its call bluestacks and I tried to load it on to my pc but it goes black screened any idea why or how to fix it thanks much.

    1. Are you referring to BlueStacks app player?
    2. Which version of BlueStacks are you using?
    3. Have you installed it on Windows 8? If so, how did you install it in Windows 8?
    4. What is the make and model of your computer?

    You may check the version of game supported in Windows 8.

    You may try running it in Windows 7 compatibility mode and check if it helps.

    Blue Stacks Black screen after a minute or two? (loading clash of clans for example)

    This worked for me.

    1. Install a settings app in blue stacks and turn off sleep timer.
    2. I set mine to never sleep and it works fine.

    When installing, if screen goes black, wait for install to finish before restarting. Black screen is sleep mode and the install is still working. I got a notification on my windows 8.1 machine when the install was finished. Restart blue stacks open the settings app, find sleep timer and set to never. Works fine now for me.

    2. 0.7.17.916
    3. It is installed on Windows 8.1 (preview). I went on the BlueStacks website and downloaded the Windows 8 version.
    4. I have a Dell Inspiron 15.
