Hello,

I've installed windows 8 and i got a problem when i restart my system or run it new. The thing is that i got a blackscreen instead of a "login to windows" screen, on my windows 8. So the OS loads, gets to the login screen but it gets black when i need to type my password for logging in. I can only push the power button on my laptop so that it goes to sleep mode, and after i push it again then i see the login screen, no black screen. Can someone please help me?

(sorry for bad eng)

Thank you!

Good news, I believe I found the solution to the problem. An update to the latest bios did the trick for me. I was at bios version 1.11, updating to 1.14 (released in march) took care of the bug.

You'll be able to download it from Fujitsu's webpage.

Go to http://support.ts.fujitsu.com/download/Index.asp and search for nh532 and you'll find the bios update tool for win 8.

Best of luck!

    Hi DavorVuković,

I would like to know if you have connected any external Devices other than mouse and keyboard.

If you have connected any external devices other than mouse and keyboard, then I would suggest you to disconnect all the external devices other than mouse and keyboard and check if the issue persists.

I would suggest you to boot to Safe Mode using the Installation Media and then place the computer in clean boot state and check if you are able to boot to the desktop normally.

Step 1: How to easily enter safe mode in windows 8? (One-click series):

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2809468/en-us

Note: Open Command Prompt using the Windows 8 installation disc and then run the command in the Support article.

Step 2: Once you reach the Startup settings screen, Enable Safe Mode and then follow Step 3.

Step 3: Placing the computer in clean boot state will help you determine, which app/program is causing this issue.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7/8:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After clean boot troubleshooting step, follow the section "How to reset the computer to start as usual after troubleshooting with clean boot" in the provided link to return your computer to Normal startup mode.

Please reply with the status of the issue, so that we could help you sort out the issue.

Method 1 is not working. After i choose "Automatic Repair" (after few sec.), i get a message: "Windows can not repair you computer..." .

    Hello,

    Thank you for the response.

    1. I have not made any changes to the computer prior this issue, except some win8 updates my computer installed automatically.
    2. I don't get errors, just a blank/black screen after the windows 8 loading time (booting). So i turn on my laptop, the windows loads, and when it needs to get to the login screen, there is only black. I figured out that if i push the power button at that time, my laptop goes to sleep mode. After i "wake" him up (press the power button again), then i see the login screen and can login to my computer and work.
    3. I Have a windows 8 installation media.
    4. Please read the description above on (2).

** This is a fresh installation of windows 8 on this computer. Method 2 would not work (no system restore point)

    (sorry for bad eng)

    Thank you,

    Davor Vuković

    Hi DavorVuković,

I would like to know more information about the issue, so that we could help you further.

    1. Have you made any changes to the computer prior to this issue?
    2. Do you get any error code or error message?
    3. Do you have Windows 8 Installation Media?
    4. Are you able to boot to Desktop?

If you are not able to boot and if you do not have an installation media, then I would suggest you to try creating it from a different Windows 8 computer.

How to create installation media for a PC refresh or reset:

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media

Once after creating an Installation Media, I would suggest you to try the following methods and check if it works for you.

    Method 1:

Try performing Automatic Repair by booting from the Windows 8 Installation Media and check.

Follow the steps to perform Startup repair from Windows 8 Installation Media:

    a. Insert media Installation Media and press F12 key and click on change default or other optionswhich is at the bottom of the screen.

    b. In the next screen click on troubleshoot option, this will display you different WinRE (Windows Recovery Environment) options to resolve issues with the computer when it is in no boot state.

    c. Now Click on Automatic Repair, this will open up a Wizard which will automatically diagnose and repair issues with the computer startup.

    Method 2:

If performing Automatic repair did not help, the perform System Restore and restore to a point before the issue started and check if it helps.

Follow the steps to perform system restore:

    a. Insert media such as (DVD or flash drive) and press F12 key and click on change default or other optionswhich is at the bottom of the screen.

    b. In the next screen click on troubleshoot option, this will display you different WinRE (Windows Recovery Environment) options to resolve issues with the computer when it is in no boot state.

    c. Now Click on System Restore, this will open up a Wizard and restore to a point when the computer was working fine.

Please reply with the status of the issue, so that we could help you in a better way.
