The box definitely comes up only when I am using the Chinese language, only when I select the Chinese language IME. It must be part of the IME, but I don't know how to disable it. It does not allow me to input Chinese, and it does not come up all the time. It does not only come up on my computer, but also on other computers. I can't find anything about it in the IME help menus, and I can't find any option that disables it. I don't think disabling the language pack is going to help. Is there anyone that specializes in Chinese language IME's? I think this question is very specific regarding the function of the IME, but I think it must be a common problem for people that use the Chinese language IMEs.
How can I eliminate floating Chinese language input box?
When I use the Chinese (Simplified, PRC) and Chinese (Traditional, Taiwan) input methods, occasionally a floating box appears. This is not the language bar, but a different floating box. When I type pinyin or select a character on the IME pad, the character does not appear in the app or document where my cursor is located. It appears in the floating box. The box has an arrow button that appears to be intended to input the character, but when I press the arrow button, generally the character still fails to appear where my cursor is located. Much of the time this box does not appear, but sometimes it does. How can I eliminate this box and input my characters directly?

2013-07-21T11:12:10+00:00 Hi,
It seems that floating Language bar is enabled. I would suggest you to disable it and check.
Perform steps mentioned below and check if it helps.
a) Click on Start, type Region and Languagein the start search box and hit Enter.
b) Now click the Keyboards and Languages tab.
c) Now click the button Change Keyboards.
d) Now click the Language Bar tab. **** e) Now, uncheck the radio button Floating on desktopand check Docked in the taskbar, then click Apply and then **OK. f)**If you want to disable the Language bar itself, then check radio box next to Hidden and click Apply and OK.
Follow the steps and let us know if that helps. If you face any more issues while working with Windows, do post on Microsoft Community forum.

2013-07-21T12:58:38+00:00 This is not a problem with the language bar. There is another box which appears sometimes. As I input characters, the characters appear in this box. Then when I press the arrow key, the characters disappear. In other words, the box makes it impossible to type. What is this box and how do I get rid of it?
