FOSCAM IPCamera Tool Compatibility with WIN 8.

Can not install plug in on my WIN 8 64 B PC for FOSCAM IP Camera model FI9821W. The camera was supplied to me with software IPcamera.exe. Have run it on my PC several times, however no success. Could not get much help from FOSCAM retailer and manufacturer

  • Made in China. Is there a compatibility problem with WIN 8 ??? Is there somebody who installed the IP Camera successfully on WIN 8, 64 B system?

    Hi Richard,

    There is information available on Windows 8 compatibility centerfor FOSCAM IP Camera model "FI8910W” and "FI8918W" but not for "FI9821W".

    Program compatibility is a mode in Windows that lets you run programs written for earlier versions of Windows. Most programs written for Windows 7 also work in Windows 8, but some older programs might run poorly or not run at all.

    If FOSCAM IP Camera model FI9821W is not compatible with Windows 8 you may try installing the same in compatibility modeand check if it works.

    If still the issue persists you may contact the device manufacturerfor help.

    Hello there my name is john ive had the same problem with foscam Model F1982W I am running window's 8 as well ok how ever I had an old pc window's EXP and it worked on there but not window's 8 so far there is not any program out there that ive found to rune my foscam on window's 8 I guess I am a sucker for buying the camera's if I knew I could not run the camera's on window's 8 I would have not bought them now iam out $210,00usd dollar's and cant use them on here BUMMER! OF WELL THANK'S FOR NOTHING fOSCAM!,

    Login to your network router and see if the device is connected to the router. I had to do that then go to my web browser (google chrome) and manually enter the ip address to the camera and i could login in and view. But i was never able to use the camera tool on win8 for whatever reason!

    It is definitely model FI9821W.

    I purchased the camera 6 months ago and attempted several times to install it on my systems, BUT NO SUCCESS.

    My previous PC was running WIN Vista - however the camera did not worked then.

    Now, I can not install/run the camera on my new PC running WIN 8, either.

    In the past, have enquired with the manufacturer but it did not helped.

    They got my money and supplied me with ****-camera that does not work!
