2013-06-22T07:48:20+00:00 Hi Chinmay,
Thank you for your response.
- Does the issue occur in guest account or administrator account?
Let’s follow these methods and update us with the results.
Method 1: Reregister kernelbase.dll and check.
a. Click Start and type cmd in start search. Right click on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator.
b. Type "regsvr32 KERNELBASE.dll" without the quotes and Press Enter.
c. Restart your computer and check.
Method 2: Perform a System File Checker (SFC) scan and check.
Perform a System File Checker (SFC) scan on your computer. SFC tool scans system files and replaces incorrect versions of the system files by using the correct versions.
Refer the following article for more information on using SFC tool to troubleshoot missing or corrupted system files:
How to use the System File Checker tool to troubleshoot missing or corrupted system files on Windows Vista or on Windows 7
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833
You may delete the guest account and check.
You may also fix the corrupted user profile and check if it helps.
Please post back with the results and we will be glad to assist you further.

2013-06-16T02:49:49+00:00 Hi Chinmay,
- Were there any recent changes made on the computer prior to the issue?
Let’s try these methods and check if it helps.
Method 1: Place the computer into clean boot state and check.
How to perform a clean boot to troubleshoot a problem in Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: To reset the computer to normal mode after troubleshooting, please follow “**How to reset the computer to start as usual”**from the above article.
Method 2: Perform system restore from Windows recovery environment and check.
What are the system recovery options in Windows 7?
What is System Restore?
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/What-is-System-Restore
Important: System Restore will not revert any of your non-system files like documents, email, music, etc. to a previous state. These types files are completely unaffected by System Restore. If your intention with this tool was to recover a deleted non-system file, try using a file recovery program instead of System Restore.
Do let us know about the results. We will be happy to assist you further.
