HP Pavilion G6...lights for power. but only black screen

When powering up the laptop, the usual lights turn on, Power button, and the wifi one

They can then stay on until the laptop is turned off

I have checked the ram and the HD.. both are fine...

It's just stays on a black screen, no mouse pointer

I have used a torch to see if back light has gone, cannot see any icons etc

what would my next point ot start searching or looking to try

    Hello Sully12,

    Did you try hooking up a monitor to your laptop?  It sounds like your LCD screen has died or the back light is not working.  You should call HP up to get it fixed if the laptop is still under warranty.

    Hi yes, I've tried via the blue lead and the HDMI... still not working,,,, took screen out and tried it in another laptop,,, and that worked perfect... thanks for reply

    I had similar problem and i found the solution to my problem, you may have similar or different problem who knows but anyways here is my solution.<br>Rijotech Solution!
