I would like to run and use Unix on my Windows 7 system.  I need to know how to install it.

Does Windows 7 have an emulation for this purpose?

You can install Oracle VM Virtual box with a Win 8 Server environment, then add the CENT OS environment. You would technically be running another operating system on the same pc by sharing the space. You need to start the pc regularly then start the VM box as it is a program. I can't give you step by step but, Google it. I'm sure they are on the web.

Unix, like Linux, is not a simple program.  These are operating systems that you install on empty hard drives or you erase Windows completely off the hard drive and replace it with one of these.
