Install Canon MG4250 printer on Windows 8.

Thanks for your help have downloaded software but can't connect to printer now!  Oh boy and I thought this would be easy.  Not much in the way of instructions on printer.  So if anyone can help with getting my laptop and printer to talk to each other that would be great.  Thank you!

Refer to these links, you will be able to download driver.  You can download the manual, it will help you install the priinter on your computer.

Install a printer.

Thanks for your reply I am trying this but can't seem to find the page you are referring to.  I have found the link to download software but my laptop keeps saying not responding so I don't know what to do and feeling pretty frustrated! If you have any other helpful suggestions that would be great otherwise I will have to speak to Canon or return the printer.

Scroll way down to items 15 and 16. I don't know which would be a better choice for you. I'd try 15. first. For network-connected printers, 16 might be needed instead.
