Original title: vpn client working on one network (standard model over bluetooth link) but not on another (wired lan)

I am trying to connect to vpn using cisco vpn client. When I connect using my cell as a modem over bluetooth link between phone and PC, it connects. Whereas, with standard modem with wired lan connection it does not connect. Error message is : Secure VPN connection terminated locally by the Client. Reason 412: The remote peer is no longer responding

    Hi Abhishek,

It would be best if you could post your question in the Cisco Support Forums and check.

    https://supportforums.cisco.com/community/netpro/security/vpn

This issue could arise if the User is behind a Firewall or if the TCP port that the VPN client is blocked.

As a work around, I would suggest you to disable the Windows Firewall and check if it makes a difference.

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows/turn-windows-firewall-on-off#turn-windows-firewall-on-off=windows-7

Note: Once done troubleshooting, turn on the firewall.

Let us know if this work around helps.
