    hi,

I got excactly the same problem.

With me the problem started when i upgraded my original windows 8 to windows 8.1 Pro (got a licence from my school via dreamspark) and since then a lot of apps don't work anymore. It are basically the standard Acer apps, and dolby home theater v4.

I tried to use compatibillity mode, and re-installed dolby home theater, but nothing seems to work.

I have an Acer Aspire  V5 touch. (just in case you need to know)

I hope to recieve a reply very soon.

    Thanks in advance,

    Rowan Otte

I don't have the problem anymore, my pc crashed, and i got a new one from the store where i bought it.

But the "lot of apps" are basicaly the standard acer apps like acer power manager, and acer USB charger and of course dolby home theater v4, and the error message was " this program has stopped working, we're looking for a sollution" and then it says something like "we couldn't find a sollution".

Like i said, I don't have a problem anymore, but maby the feedback could help others.
