LG GH24NS95 cd/dvd rewiter not listed in device manager

Hi

 I purchased a new CD/DVD rewriter to be a second drive.

I installed this and then rebooted PC and then checked and this does not show up in under the computer, so went into device manager and its not listed their, so went to LG support at on live chat ( see below).. The say i need an updated driver from Microsoft.

    Hi,

    It appears as though you may not have used the Command Prompt (Admin).....

    The easiest way to find it is to right click on the lower left corner when the "Start" pops up....

    Hello,

    Try this....  Skip steps 2 and 3 to start out, and see how things go.

    It might end up being necessary to run the entire process, but maybe not.

    1. Run cmd as Administrator (right click lower left corner when Start pops up)
    2. Type: or copy and paste

    reg.exe add "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\atapi\Controller0" /f /v EnumDevice1 /t REG_DWORD /d 0x00000001

    1. Hit Enter
    2. Type: or copy and paste

    reg.exe add "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\atapi\Controller0" /f /v EnumDevice2 /t REG_DWORD /d 0x00000002

    1. Hit Enter
    2. Reboot
