d3d9.dll_unloaded

Hello,

All of a sudden I'm getting a lot of games that are crashing upon exiting the games.

Every time that this happens I checked the details for it and it tells me that the following is the cause:  Problem Event Name: BEX

Application Name: RimWorld232Win.exe

Application Version: 4.2.1.11687

Application Timestamp: 521c6950

Fault Module Name: d3d9.dll_unloaded

Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0

Fault Module Timestamp: 4ce7b7b3

Exception Offset: 64496bb5

Exception Code: c0000005

Exception Data: 00000008

OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3

Locale ID: 1033

Additional Information 1: c6ee

Additional Information 2: c6ee7be0ac38e03f843bb983ef93ecc2

Additional Information 3: af23

Additional Information 4: af23a097f99d466108874757b1865fda

It doesn't happen every single time on every single game but it does happen on quite a few different games.

So, if anyone could tell me what it is that I need to do that can correct this I'd sure appreciate it. I guess I should be thankful that it is only upon exiting games that they crash and not while playing them

"And if i wanted to look hard enough"

That's the point. I didn't look hard at all. That page is what came up first, so it's contains the most commonly linked sites for that search (theoretically).

If Bridge Constructor uses a modified d3d9_.dll,  I assume  it would normally be in the games folder in

your Steam Apps\ Common folders.  If it is missing, or corrupt, then reinstalling the game may fix the issue, or you may be able to download a new copy to put in the games install folder with the games .exe.

Interesting, this d3d9.dll_unloaded.  I would guess the unloaded part is there just to indicate the file is

modified from the MS version, as it comes after the  extension. It would be interesting to know

    what it's about.

EDIT:  I see you have edited while I was typing.

MSE may not be enough. You really should run a scan with Malware Bytes (the most commonly suggested software to cross check with).

It never hurts to double check if you start having problems after downloading anything

from a torrent site. Torrents are the most common places to pick up malware due to the rapid

exchange of data between machines which may not be well protected.

Well if anybody wants to offer real help... And it makes them feel better about it, here is another one:

    Problem Event Name: BEX

    Application Name: BridgeConstructor.exe

    Application Version: 4.2.1.11687

    Application Timestamp: 521c6950

    Fault Module Name: d3d9.dll_unloaded

    Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0

    Fault Module Timestamp: 4ce7b7b3

    Exception Offset: 64496bb5

    Exception Code: c0000005

    Exception Data: 00000008

    OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3

    Locale ID: 1033

    Additional Information 1: 7944

    Additional Information 2: 79440d9360058e96b38dc55677eac480

    Additional Information 3: 72d3

    Additional Information 4: 72d3b9e31b17250bebb9e479002b9fe8

And if i wanted to look hard enough i'd likely find illegal stuff on google for almost any game... In any event this is just one of the game son my Steam account that also produces a crash upon exiting with the same named Fault Module: d3d9.dll_unloaded  I have googled for "d3d9.dll_unloaded" but all the returns seem to be only on d3d9.dll and not on d3d9.dll_unloaded

I could list probably a good 15 games on my Steam accct that crash on exiting as well as a couple games bought on Greenmangaming and gamersgate so there is obviously something going wrong with m,y computer to cause this on so many games upon exiting them.

My computer is freshly installed Windows 7 (about 4 weeks ago and all MS updates done to it) and scanned weekly with MSE

Edit: actually ther is a lot on "d3d9.dll_unloaded" as long as i use quotes around it so i'm likely to find what the problem is on google.

    The error messages says -

    Application Name: RimWorld232Win.exe

I Google   RimWorld232Win and the full first page yields nothing but torrents -

    https://www.google.com.au/#q=+RimWorld232Win

Fault Module Name: d3d9.dll_unloaded  is not found in Windows or MS Direct X.

If there is only one game from a torrent , that may be all it takes.

Anyway - The crashing should still nothing to worry about, unless it starts to affect other things. I have a handful of games that do the same occasionally. Most commonly with Oblivion.

If the issues seems to be spreading you still may want to run a full system scan with your, AV and

    then again with Malware Bytes.

Pre judging, maybe. There have only been three people previously this week alone needing help with

pirate games. One was helped by an official MS employee, so it's cool....

Well, I guess it's a good thing that nobody here pre-judges without actually knowing situations, such as getting a preview/press copy to create YouTube video previews.

In any event this is happening on quite a few games, legitimate purchase games, it is even happening on flight simulator X as well as about 15 video games on my 250+ game steam account.

Hello, welcome to the Official Monopoly$oft game forums. The only forums I know that don't

ban people for helping game pirates (just be careful not to discuss Windows Piracy as that

    would be frowned upon).

The crashing when closing a game will sometimes happen with legitimate versions too,

but with games from  RimWorld232 it may just be part of the parcel, as  d3d9.dll_unloaded

is not a file that would be found on a non Pirates machine.

I wouldn't worry about it... Well, not unless a malware/virus came with the package.
