Step 1 : Uninstall and delete any existing drivers for DWA-131

Step 2 : Remove device from computer

    Step 3 : Download the latest driver (2016) from - ftp://ftp.dlink.eu/Products/dwa/dwa-131/driver\_software/DWA-131\_drv\_revE1\_5-02b04\_all\_multi\_20160118.zip

Step 4 : Extract and run 'Setup'

    Step 5 : Insert the device (DWA-131)

    You are good to go..

    thank you.

Had same problem - go to http://www.dlink.com/uk/en/support/product/dwa-131-wireless-n-nano-usb-adapter?revision=deu_revb and there you will find download - click on "windows drivers" and download - then extract files and copy to a drive.

It's the B revision that has the W8 and W8.1 drivers

Now copy these drivers to your PC with the W8.1 problem. Should work...it did for me - hope it does for you : - )
