The solution is actually quite simple - run System restore. This will NOT effect your files, only installations and other things like that. Restore your system to before this problem occurred - instant fix.
Graphics card no longer recognized (Code 43)
original title: (Code 43)
Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)
So I am playing my computer game as usual, when suddenly it bugges out on me and I have to alt tab out to see wtf is going on. I restart my computer and come back to a bunch of dots across my screen before Vista starts up, and then I find the resolution has lowered.
BOTH my NVIDIA Geforece 8800 GT cards suddenly will not be recognized because there was some error and it Windows doesn't feel like actually fixing it or telling me what the problem is. I have tried to uninstall, reinstall and have tried a couple of programs that claim to fix any problems but to no avail.
I am now seriously pissed off, I am not a computer expert but I know it is rather strange for my graphic cards to suddenly ____ the bed for no reason. I simply want an explanation or an easy fix WITHOUT having to do something as severe as somehow getting two new graphics cards. I need a REALLY good reason as to why my computer (that is not even a year old) is suddenly malfunctioning!

2012-09-20T11:24:19+00:00 the problem may be that your pc may need a service.the windows system is attempting to stop further damage to your graphics card via overheating.clean air vents, thermal paste the gpu/cpu and check to see the video card is not damaged.

2011-09-24T13:18:06+00:00 I think it is the same problem. I have had all working fine until I downloaded the "critical update" from you Microsoft guys... Something in your updates are seriously wrong! I have even changed my graphic card to another (same brand and same model) with the same problem. Wgen shifting to my XP that I did NOT update, there are no probs at all. If I change it to my wifes vista 32, that she updated yesterday, all of a sudden **** breaks loose! I think MS have to check their updates and fix this quick!

2011-03-15T08:30:02+00:00 Hi. I get code43 when I want to use USB devices:D and, it is a little disappointin g I wasn't able to find any helpful answers from microsoft how to solve this. :( I have an asus x51L laptop, and I bought a win7 home premium(x64). Now I want to use it to sync my HTC Touch Diamond. but I cant, because windows doesn't recognises USB device. but! the strangest thing that while windows doesn't recognises it, the Pocket PC recharging from the USB, so it is not a device problem, and it is not a hardware problem:D
