All computer now a days have "fans" in them so as to "force" the hot "internal" air out of the computer.  These are supposed to be "heat sensitive" and would increase their force, thus making more sound.  If they sound too loud, then these fans are getting to be "clogged" with dust.

Also, your even warning could be indicating the computer is starting to over-heat.  You might want to take your computer to your local "repair" shop so that they can check this out / clean out the dust.

    Kathy,

Windows includes troubleshooting programs that you can use to automatically fix some common problems with your computer's performanceor with maintenance of your system.

Open the **Performance troubl**ə**shooter**by clicking the **Start** button, and then clicking **Control Panel**. In the səarch box, type

troubleshooter, and then click Troubleshooting. Under System and Security, click Check for performance issues.

Open the **System Maintenance troubleshooter** by clicking the **Start**

button, and then clicking Control Panel. In the səarch box, type troubləshooter, and then click Troubleshooting. Under System and Security, click Run maintenance tasks.

You've told us next to nothing about your computer, so it's very difficult to give you any help. Please answer all the following questions:

Please describe you computer's hardware. How fast is the processor? How much RAM do you have? How big is your hard drive?

What edition of Windows 7 are you running? What applications do you run?

How slow is "slow." Please give at least an approximate answer.

Is it slow doing everything or just some things? What things?

Is the slowness something new or has it been slow since you first got the computer. If it's new, what changed shortly before it started?

What programs do you have starting automatically when you boot (run MSCONFIG and see the list there)?

These days the reason for a computer being slow is very often a malware (virus, trojan, worm, spyware, etc.) infection. What anti-virus and anti-spyware programs do you run? Are they kept up to date?

What is your computer make and model? If not a branded computer what is your motherboard make and model?

Please provide a copy of your System Information file. Type System Information in the Search Box above the start Button and press the ENTER key. Select File, Export and give the file a name noting where it is located. The system creates a new System Information file each time system information is accessed. You need to allow a minute or two for the file to be fully populated before exporting a copy. Please upload to your Sky Drive, share with everyone and post a link here. Please say if the report has been obtained in safe mode.

Please upload and share with everyone copies of your System and Application logs from your Event Viewer to your Sky Drive and post a link here.

To access the System log select Start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Event Viewer, from the list in the left side of the window select Windows Logs and System. Place the cursor on System, select Action from the Menu and Save All Events as (the default evtx file type) and give the file a name. Do the same for the Applications log. Do not provide filtered files.
