So i tried to install variety of drivers for this printer/scanner (most from Cannon download centre). None of them works for my win7 64bit notebook.

Installation via USB doesn't work because the connection is not recognized as a printer. If I try any other installation method I just end up with not responding Printer device. Curiously It works just fine on my windows XP desktop. Anyone else having similar issues?

    Hello,

I had the same problem with my ir1024if, now with Windows 10 x64, and found that another model of scanner which have drivers for x64 can install perfectly with Device Manager - Update Drivers - Manually install - Have disk etc etc, and select the model you downloaded. For me, this one worked: http://software.canon-europe.com/software/0045190.asp

    Hope it works for you!

actually i've managed to install printer drivers on win7 device, and surprisingly it prints!. it was quite a struggle, so I don't remember how I did that (I can look into it if is required). The thing is you'll never be able to get the scanner to work. Shame on you Cannon.

I tried and i tried.. I cannot get this device properly working with a Win 7 x64 machine.

I think Canon just don't want this device to work anymore..

Not one single driver works with Windows 7 however it worked fine on Windows XP.

    Its a lost case..
