Hey I have laptop with 4gb of ram and an intel core duo T6600 @ 2.20GHz  and my processor is always working at either 90% or really close to it, even when im just browsing the internet or listening to music, it's been happening for a few months and all fixes have done nothing, not even formatting, playing games has become impossible, and i mean any kind of game, from league of legends who i was able to run at 60+ fps to counter strike that keeps freezing due to cpu clogging. I need help because the computer is becoming quickly unusable

    Hi Tiagodi,

There are several reasons why computer might perform slowly. It may be because of software or hardware issue. Follow these methods and check if it helps:

Method 1: Run the System Maintenance troubleshooter and check if it helps:

    Open the System Maintenance troubleshooter

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows7/open-the-system-maintenance-troubleshooter

Method 2: Try to restart your computer in Safe mode and check if the problem persists.

If the issue does not persist, I would suggest you to restart the computer to return to normal boot and then run Autoruns by downloading it from the following link:

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx

Once Autoruns runs in the computer, it will display the CPU usage by exact process names. I would suggest you to reply with the names of the highest CPU consuming processes.

If the situation is same in safe mode, I would suggest you to contact the manufacturer and try to run hardware diagnostics on the computer.

Method 3: Also, I would suggest you to Optimize Windows for better performance and check if it helps:

    Optimize Windows for better performance

Antivirus Disclaimer: Any data files that are infected may only be cleaned by deleting the file entirely, which means there is a potential for data loss.

Hope this helps. If you need further assistance with Windows, let us know and we will be glad to help.

There are several possibilities, but the most likely is that you are infected with malware.
