pop-up windows with no close button

Some pop-up windows that I open, because I actually do need it for something and is not some ad, doesn't display a close button. I know when using chrome, there is no close button on the top corner but I can still close the tabs. But the one I'm trying to figure out how to close is the ones where the top of it is just a URL bar and no way to close, so I can't get back to my previous pages unless I close the entire app. Does anyone know how to close them?

    Hi Ursookrazie,

    -          Are you getting this pop up window in Chrome or Internet Explorer?

If you are using Internet Explorer, then here are few steps you can try to close the pop up window:

    1. Hit the ESC key on the keyboard and check if this helps.
    2. Press the (Alt key + F4) together on the keyboard and check if this helps.
    3. Open the Task Manager by press Ctrl key + Shift key + Esc key on the keyboard. This will override everything that is currently being done and bring you to a menu.

The Task Manager always takes priority over every other program and window that is open. It also has the power to stop them. There are two ways to end these pop-ups: the applications tab and the processes tab. The applications tab will let you close individual windows, similar to the taskbar technique. You can go straight to the Processes tab. Here, you'll find a list of running programs. If you are using Internet Explorer then scroll through and search for a program called "iexplorer.exe". Click this, then click "End Process".  This will terminate the entire Internet Explorer program, including those pop-ups.

Reply with the status of the issue and we will be glad to offer our assistance.
